WHAT
WE DO
OUR NEWSLETTER
News about the state of refugees across the world is constantly changing. Every day brings new challenges and new policies, and it can be hard to stay up-to-date with information that is continuously evolving. In an effort to keep all of us informed about current events and developments, the IHA produces a monthly newsletter with stories from around the globe. The IHA strongly believes that raising awareness is the root of inciting change.
We seek to look at the refugee story through different lenses and shed light on parts of the narrative that have not been told before. Too many people have been forgotten, and too many details have been overlooked. Our purpose is to give you a closer, more intimate look at this continuous global calamity. Subscribe to our newsletter below, and do your part in keeping yourself informed. We publish a new issue on the first Monday of each month.
LIVE PRESENTATIONS
The IHA has given live presentations about the refugee crisis at numerous venues in the past, including community centers, schools, and houses of worship. The goal of each presentation was to inform our audiences of the challenges refugees face and why helping them matters.
We provided an interactive experience, with a question and answer session with the audience at the end of every performance. We encouraged discussion. We hoped to motivate our audiences to take initiative in helping any humanitarian issues they may care about and create change in their own communities.
Fundraising
Displaced people around the world are in desperate need of crucial supplies and services like food, medicine & medical care, clothing, legal care, and more. The IHA conducts fundraising events within the communities of its
staff members to provide these critical resources. In our most recent fundraiser, the IHA has raised over 2,000 dollars for direct humanitarian relief organizations that work around the world.
